Sophie Ellis knows exactly who Adrian Cole is: a wealthy former Olympic swimmer whose face and body still appear in national campaigns. He also happens to be her summer neighbor.

Adrian is used to being watched. Sophie, a third-grade teacher, has no interest in becoming part of anyone's public image. But shared dawn swims turn into warm nights, and the rules they choose seem simple: private, exclusive and over when summer ends.

Then someone photographs them together.

Sophie needs to protect the ordinary life she loves. Adrian can give her privacy, but he cannot promise invisibility. He also cannot build a future where she loves him only behind a closed gate.

If they want more than one summer, they must find a way for their relationship to be real without turning it into something for sale.
